On the 18th of October in 1986, Desmond Cerfontyne and Anthony Bakker joined forces to establish Multi-Fast. With nothing more than a steadfast dedication to exceptional customer service and an unyielding determination, they refused to let their destinies be dictated for them. This marked the inception of their vision to become the foremost supplier of fastening systems within the greater Western Cape region.
Multi-Fast specialises in the import and distribution of a wide range of industrial products, including rivets, screws, nuts and bolts, as well as various industrial fastener solutions, hand and power tools, gaskets, and consumables. Our operations span across numerous industries throughout South Africa, and our inventory is extensive, located at our facility in Observatory, Cape Town. If we happen to not have what you need on hand, rest assured that we’ll diligently source it for you.

Algernon leads the team at MultiFast, managing the team to deliver on its strategic objectives. With over 25 years of experience across various industries, he leads the company drive for year-on-year growth.
His industry knowledge and connections provide a strong foundation for building a robust supply chain. Algy's passion lies in using technology to increase operational efficiency and making ordering easier for our customers. He always has a smile on his face and in his spare time he loves relaxing with his wife, two toddlers and his veggie garden!
William McKenzie
Sales and Procurement
William jolned us straight from school and leads our sales department with unmatched enthusiasm and energy! He is the friendly face behind the phone when you call. With brilliant problem-solving skills and the ability to think on the spot, his role is all about maintaining world class service to help customers save and making their life easy. He also ensures we have the correct product in stock at the best value. In his free time, William enjoys relaxing with his family and friends.
Nawaal Thebus
Accounts and Payments
Nawaal joined MultiFast in 1988 and has served in various capacities over the years. As one of the
"originals", she has vast product knowledge as well as a working knowledge of various processes throughout the business. This makes her an integral part of the team, always smiling and willing to help with any invoice queries or payments. Away from work, Nawaal enjoys cooking and looking after her grandchildren.
Henry Isaacs
Driver
Henry is our driver and ensures that the collection and distribution of goods operate seamlessly!
Additionally, he is the ace that repairs all the power tools and pneumatic tools which allows us to offer this value add to our customers. In his spare time, Henry is an avid sports follower, and you may see him at the odd PSL football match!
